Life near the beach.
Introducing the perfect place to settle if you want to get to know the most Mediterranean Barcelona: Casa Barceloneta Beach.
You will stay in the old maritime district of Barceloneta, a neighbourhood that has been transformed into one of the most dynamic and cosmopolitan areas of Barcelona. And in one of the few buildings in the old fishing district that has a lift.
Imagine yourself on the beach swimming or paddle surfing, playing with your children in the sand, running on the shores of the Mediterranean, sunbathing, shopping at the Barceloneta Market just like your neighbours. Or simply enjoying the lively life of the neighbourhood, best known for its tapas and vermouth bars and its paella, rice and fish restaurants with coveted terraces overlooking the sea.
From Barceloneta you can access the Born and Barri Gòtic neighbourhoods in just a few minutes on foot, go up the Ramblas to Plaça de Catalunya and continue rambling along Rambla Catalunya and Passeig de Gràcia, the Gràcia neighbourhood... even reach the mountain of Tibidabo to contemplate the sunset.
All the Barcelonas are close to Barceloneta. But life is better by the sea.

Excellent apartment in a fantastic location. Check in was a breeze...they even let us check in early as our flight arrived in the morning. The apartment is very clean and looked exactly like the photos. The location is outstanding. A few minutes walk to the metro get you anywhere in the city and it's a short walk to the beach. There are tons of restaurants and coffee shops surrounding the apartment. A few cons: It's 5 flights of stairs (no elevator). This was not an issue for us - in fact we enjoy the leg workout, but for some, especially older people, it may be too much. The room had a strong smell of cigarette smoke when we arrived. After having the having the windows open for a while, the smell improved. Although others had mentioned it in the review, the shower was still a shocker. It's the smallest shower I've ever seen in my life in a house or apartment. It's similar to what you would find on a small boat. I am very thin and it was like cramming into a phone booth and if you turned either way, your body would hit the shower valve and constantly change the water temperature. We just laughed it off, but others, especially larger people, may seriously not be able to fit in this shower. Overall, still a fantastic stay.
