This apartment is owned and managed by a team that definitely have a passion for what they do. I've stayed in quite a few airbnbs, and usually the ones managed by companies have a little bit less care and attention to detail - however this wasn't the case this one. I found the apartment very well equipped, attention to detail was very much appreciated and it seems they carry great pride in each of their apartments. It is in a fantastic location, on one of the primary walking streets in Gothic with its antique shops winding up into the public square and cathedral that is stunning any time of day. The walk down to the beach is also not much of a hassle, with cafes and restaurants lining the street and then a short walk along the harbour admiring the super yachts. We found everything we needed and more in this stay. The only consideration I would add is this is an apartment at the back of the block, so with that you have no street noise which is great, but you also have limited natural light. Their are two atriums (one accessed from living room/kitchen and another from the bedroom) that provide some light and fresh air & the apartment is well lit - but as an Australian used to a lot of UV light it was something I had to get a little used to. Also remember that these older buildings are a little less fortified against upstairs and downstairs apartments so you may receive a little noise that way too. But overall, highly recommended - can't wait to visit again and have another beer at the small bar downstairs (Amades), coffee at plaza del pi, a walk by the cathedral de Barcelona at sunset or some tapas at Venus deli - all at your fingertips.
