Sant Antoni, named after the neighbourhood that houses it, is a cosy flat with a large double bedroom with a desk, and a second bedroom with a bunk bed.
The kitchen is small but practical. The bathroom has been recently renovated and is equipped with a shower. The living room has everything a living room needs to have: a big and comfortable sofa, the flat screen TV to watch your favourite series, a bookshelf full of books and a small table to have dinner or work. But the best part is the small patio-terrace, which will be waiting for you every day to go out for a drink, read or just chill out.
The apartment is located just outside of Barcelona’s historic centre. Despite its proximity to popular areas, Sant Antoni exudes a cool and irreverent charm, encouraging a slower pace of life. The area’s recent growth in activity is attributed to its appeal to artisans, artists, young families, professionals, and locals seeking a tranquil retreat.
Nestled at the core of the neighbourhood is the 135-year-old Sant Antoni Market. A renovation, prolonged over two years due to the unexpected discovery and excavation of Ancient Roman walls, has now culminated in the market's rejuvenation, sparking a full revival of Sant Antoni. Go to the market in the morning (Monday to Saturday) to buy your groceries in one or two of the 52 stalls selling fruit, fish, meat and Spanish charcuterie. You’ll find alongside the nearly 100 stalls of the encants offering a diverse range from clothing to trinkets. Go on Sundays to find it transformed into one of Europe's largest open-air book markets, and enjoy watching the parents with kids doing collectible card trading.
The Sant Antoni area also stands as a haven for food enthusiasts. In addition to cosy terraces and authentic bodegas, you'll easily find iconic tapas destinations and an array of excellent choices for a weekend aperitif. To name a couple of places, Bar Calders is among the most stylish vermouth destinations in the area, boasting a beautiful terrace tucked away in a hidden alleyway (just on the opposite side of the alleyway you will find a couple of delicious Italian restaurants as well). On the flip side, Bar Ramon has endured since its establishment in 1939, maintaining enduring popularity for its affordable prices and lively rock 'n roll atmosphere.
There are plenty more places to discover. In Sant Antoni you will be compelled to embrace a leisurely pace, relax, and savour life's simple pleasures – delectable food, refreshing drinks, and the company of your cherished ones.
We’re all ready to welcome you. And so is your apartment. So when are you coming?
