Welcome to La Virreina flat in Barcelona!
In this charming corner of the city, the viceroy of Peru had his palace built in the 18th century, where he lived with his wife, who survived him by twelve years. For this reason it became known as the "Palacio de la Virreina". Today the Palace houses the Department of Culture of the Barcelona City Council and gives its name to the small street in which this beautiful flat is located.
Decorated with typical hydraulic tiles and exposed wooden beams, the high ceilings reveal the noble origins of this bright flat, located on the 2nd floor of the building which, being an old building, does not have a lift.
Upon entering the flat you will immediately find yourself in a large central space that serves as a hallway and meeting point for meals or to work or study at one of the tables.
From there you enter the bathroom, all new and refurbished, with a shower; the kitchen, fully equipped with all the necessary appliances; and the small living room with its sofa and television.
From the small living room you can access the two spacious and beautiful bedrooms with double bed and large wardrobes, one of which has a mezzanine where you can go upstairs when you feel like disconnecting and relaxing to read a book or listen to music.
Once you're settled in, you'll have no shortage of reasons to go out and explore the area. You're next to the Boqueria market; in fact, you can see the stalls from the large windows of the flat. Can you imagine having breakfast every day at one of these stalls?
Five more steps and you're on Las Ramblas, Barcelona's most iconic and representative street. Stroll down Rambla to end up at the sea, or up Rambla to reach Rambla Catalunya, the sophisticated sister of Las Ramblas. Or dive into the narrow streets of the Raval district, the city's most authentic and thuggish neighbourhood, or the Gothic Quarter, the neighbourhood with the most history.
Everything is ready to welcome you. Your apartment is too. So when are you coming?
